B i o g r a p h y

Hello! I'm a harpist and psychotherapist. I fell in love with the harp at a young age and began studying the harp in Rochester, NY when I was 8 years old. Throughout high school and college, I performed as a soloist at weddings and community events and played with the Rochester, NY Area Harp Ensemble for 5 years.

I studied harp at the University of Buffalo and The University of Toronto, playing in both orchestras and ensembles. In more recent years I've studied with Elaine Barber, Principal Harpist of the Austin Symphony Orchestra, who has guided me to develop a tension-free and expressive technique of playing the harp. I greatly enjoy creating meaningful musical experiences for others, whether it be performing as a soloist at weddings, retirement homes, holiday events, restaurants or local ensembles.

I currently reside in Georgetown, Texas and am the Principal Harpist with the Williamson County Symphony Orchestra. I also play as a Guest Harpist with other local orchestras, bands and ensembles. I am available to play for
events such as receptions, cocktail hours, church services and other social events in Georgetown, TX and surrounding cities. I am also often available to play with central Texas orchestras, bands and ensembles as a guest musician.

As a harp teacher, I have a unique skill set as both a therapist and harpist to help students develop their musicianship and harp technique with a compassionate approach. I value teaching mindfulness and relaxation techniques to help students with performance anxiety. I guide students to learn to express themselves through the harp and learn to play the music that most moves and inspires them, whether it be classical or contemporary pieces.
